People Search Engines –Can They Find Your Profile? Search Yourself

It’s found that many users search their names on Google, Yahoo, and MSN to find what comes up. Now, people search engines have come into being. They are:

Zumende shows detailed white pages information people search records, professional information and multiple social networking results.
PeekYou PeekYou, launched on Tuesday, claims more than 50 million profiles in its index.

Wink scours the major social networks and the Web to find people. The site provides search filters such as location, age, and interests to narrow down the search for common names.

Spock made its debut at the Web 2.0 Expo in April 2007. Apart from scouring the Web, the site also includes options for users to add/edit information about people.

ZoomInfo claims to have more than 35 listings in its business-oriented directory (BoD). The search is focused more on tracking your career and the different places you’ve worked.

yoName searches the major social networks to return results in a tabular format so you can easily navigate between the different profiles that are found. is yet other cross-social network search that allows you to search for both specific individuals and people with certain interests on their supported sites.
