Last week Google has launched ‘
Google Gears'– a product which offers you to read all updates from online news channels, blogs, or websites offline . Amazing, isn’t it?
You can read these updates even though you don’t have internet connection. For example, it’s easy to read Times of India on the train, bus, and even on air carriers. For this, you need to install
Google Gears, and can download 2,000 items so they are available offline.

To get started, log on to
Google Reader using your g-mail account. You’ll get the message -To use Google Reader in offline mode, click the icon above -as shown in the screenshot below.
Click the icon in the top of Google Reader, and you’ll get the message –You are now in offline mode- as shown in the screenshot below.
Google Gears (BETA) is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality using the JavaScript APIs.
